The Libyan Civil Aviation Authority held a workshop at its Tripoli headquarters last Sunday to prepare for the audit visit of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). The ICAO audit visit is part of Libya’s efforts to lift the EU air embargo.
The workshop was entitled “Preparation for the Visit of the Delegation of the ICAO to the Main Airports”.
It was attended, the Libyan Civil Aviation Authority reported, by Assistant General Managers and Department Directors who have decision-making powers at Sebha and Misrata airports, and the heads of departments of the National Safety Authority at those airports.
The workshop aimed to clarify the procedures and measures that must be taken and followed to implement international standards, correct the observations recorded and contained in the reports of previous audit visits to those airports, and propose the necessary solutions to address them, and contribute to providing what is necessary to lift the EU flight ban imposed on Libya.
