Libya’s Civil Aviation Authority reported that the Netherlands is monitoring the security standards at Tripoli’s Mitiga airport.
The revelation came after the Head of Libya’s Civil Aviation Authority received the First Secretary and Security Attaché of the Dutch Embassy in Tripoli on Monday.
The Civil Aviation Authority reported that the Dutch side wished to know the level of standards and rules followed in the security procedures that are applied at Mitiga airport. They also enquired about the level of qualification and capabilities of the personnel working in the field of aviation security.
The Dutch embassy also enquired about the Civil Aviation Authority’s plan to respond to the requirements of developing aviation security, within the framework of the periodic assessment of the extent to which the level of general performance has improved in the field of aviation security in Libya.
Ways of the Dutch side’s contribution to training Libya’s civil aviation security personnel at Dutch airports were also discussed.
