An inspection team from Egyptian Civil Aviation and Egypt Air conducted Sunday an audit visit to Tripoli’s Mitiga, Misrata and Sebha airports.

At Mitiga airport, the audit team from the Egyptian Civil Aviation and the Regional Director of EgyptAir inspected the airport’s cargo area, with the aim of checking and reviewing shipping procedures, exposing parcels and mail at the airport, and their compliance with recognized international standards.

On the side-lines of the visit, a meeting was held at the headquarters of the airport administration, attended by the acting Director General of the Airport, the acting Director of the Conformity Standards Department, the Director of the Aviation Security Office at the Civil Aviation Authority, and some officials concerned with securing and protecting the airport, during which some of the procedures followed in the operations of the airport were discussed.

During the Misrata airport visit, besides all the relevant airport personnel, the Egyptian delegation met the Minister of Transport, Mohamed Al-Shahoubi.
