Libya’s Airports Authority is participating in the Airports Council International for the Africa Region (ACI AFRICA) during its seventieth session and the annual general assembly meetings and the thirty-second conference and exhibition, which are being held from 14 to 20 of October in the Senegalese capital, Dakar, under the slogan “Flexibility through innovation. Resilience Through Innovation.”

Libya’s Airports Authority is represented by the Director General of Mitiga Airport, Lotfi Altabeeb, Director of Sebha Airport, Al-Tahir Abu Al-Qasim, Director General of Misrata Airport, Suleiman Habrisha and Director of the Internal Audit Office at the Airports Authority, Abdul Rahman Ibrahim.

Importance of enhancing airport business flexibility
The delegation participated in the activities of the meetings, conference and exhibition held on the sidelines, which address the importance of enhancing business flexibility in African airports to better prepare for future challenges and crises that may arise and determine the necessary needs of the air transport sector.

Create a qualitative shift enhancing the future of Libyan airports
The Airports Authority said through the valuable meetings and sessions that will be held, the conference will focus on adopting bold initiatives and innovative concepts to create a qualitative shift aimed at enhancing the future of aviation in African airports, including Libyan airports.

Libya paid its overdue fees
It should be noted here that Libya’s membership in the Airports Council International was suspended for several years due to non-payment of obligations owed by the Libyan state. Membership was renewed this year after the Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the Libyan Embassy in Canada, paid the value of Libya’s membership fees in the Council. This allowed representatives of the Airports Authority to participate in these events.
