Libyan Customs' General Directorate for Combating Smuggling and Drugs reported today that it had seized 109 shipments at Tripoli’s Mitiga International Airport, in coordination with the Public Prosecutor's Office.
Initial examinations found that 55% of the shipments contained narcotics and psychotropic substances, including approximately 150 kg of various drugs and 390 litres of chemical precursors potentially used in drug production.
The Customs Authority said legal investigations and procedures remain ongoing.
