Transport Minister Shahoubi stresses adherence to ICAO recommendations and raising Mitiga’s operational performance‎

(GNU).

‎During an extensive meeting held at Mitiga Airport today, Tripoli based Libyan Minister of Transport, Mohamed Al-Shahoubi, reviewed the implementation rates in the items related to airport licensing, where it was agreed to set a date to complete the implementation of the remaining ones and conduct a final audit on them. ‎

It will be recalled that Libya is aiming to meet all the ICAO regulations to encourage the EU to lift its flight ban and other international airliners to resume flights.

The meeting included the head of the Civil Aviation Authority, the head of the Airports Authority, and members of the National Aviation Security Program‎‎me.‎

‎Separating the civil and military sections of Mitiga airport
The gathered also discussed the requirements for completing the separation between the civil and military aspects at the airport, in addition to discussing the airport’s readiness for the winter operating season and ways to improve the services provided to passengers.‎
