It will be recalled, that MedSky is an EU registered Libyan-owned carrier operating European charter flights from Tripoli and Benghazi to Malta, Rome, Milano, Athens, Madrid, Dusseldorf and Paris.
MedSky said the French delegation visit to its Tripoli headquarters is part of its efforts to strengthen international cooperation and expand partnership opportunities within the air transport sector,
It added that the official visit was aimed at reviewing the airline’s operational and technical capabilities, as well as discussing various matters related to flight operations to Europe.
Commenting on his personal social media account on the visit, MedSky’s CEO, Seraj Al-Fituri, said ‘‘This visit—the first of its kind in over 15 years—also marks the first time such a delegation has visited the headquarters of a Libyan airline, setting an important precedent for the Libyan aviation sector.
The visit provided an opportunity to gain a firsthand look at the operational and technical capabilities of Mediterranean Sky Airlines, to review its readiness, and to explore prospects for cooperation and enhanced air connectivity between Libya and Europe.
We believe that Libya is more than just an aviation destination; it is a bridge connecting Europe and Africa. Our ambition is to leverage this strategic location as a genuine opportunity for growth, openness, and global connectivity.’’
