‎The Minister of Transport and Financial Advisor to the Prime Minister, Mohamed Shahoubi, held a series of meetings with the President of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) at the ICAO’s headquarters in Montreal, on the sidelines of the 47th General Assembly.‎

‎The Minister also met with the President of the African Civil Aviation Organization and held a meeting with the Minister of Transport of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where they discussed ways to enhance cooperation and joint coordination in the development of the civil aviation sector, and increase the number of transit flights through Libyan airspace.‎

‎During the meetings, Al-Shahoubi stressed the direction of the Government of National Unity to lift the air ban imposed on Libyan airlines, which contributes to strengthening Libya’s position as a regional and international air transit hub.‎
