The supply of diesel fuel to trucks through mobile filling stations on Tripoli’s Airport Road commenced yesterday, as part of field measures by the Tripoli government and Brega Petroleum Company aimed at expediting the supply process, regulating truck traffic, and alleviating congestion.
By all accounts the service has been continuing in an efficient and orderly manner in coordination with the Security Directorates Support Unit in the regions, which is responsible for organizing and securing the site to ensure the smooth and continuous supply of fuel.
Already, several social media video clips and reports have indicated the concept is working successfully, supplying hundreds of trucks. The Security Directorates Support Unit has been listing the trucks that have filled up to prevent them rejoining the queue.
Moreover, what started as two mobile filling units has now been expanded to six, working on a 24-hour basis.
