French retail giant, Géant Hypermarket International, opened its second superstore in Benghazi yesterday. The new store is located on Airport Road.

The Acting Head of Benghazi Municipality, Sager Bujwari, participated in the opening ceremony.

It will be recalled that in January 2023, Géant had opened its first branch in Benghazi. It was branch number 114 for the Géant chain – but its first in Libya.‎

Géant Libya has a plan to expand further in the rest of the Libyan cities, but to date no branches have opened in Tripoli or western Libya.
