The National Development Agency (NDA) reported yesterday that, as part of its focus on alternative energy and its search for sustainable and reliable sources of electricity production, a delegation headed by Mahmoud Al-Furjani, Director General of the NDA, held a series of economic and investment meetings in the Republic of Cyprus, in cooperation with the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
It will be recalled that these meetings come with the background of severe and extensive power cuts and blackouts taking place this summer in eastern Libya.
Discussions cantered on investment opportunities in renewable and alternative energy projects, exploring modern solutions and technologies for electricity production, particularly solar energy and energy storage systems, to support the needs of development projects and enhance reliance on sustainable energy sources.
The NDA delegation also discussed with several Cypriot companies the opportunities for establishing investment and development partnerships and benefiting from their expertise and specialized technologies in the energy sector.
The Hafter-controlled NDA said these meetings are part of its strategy to diversify energy sources, attract quality investments, and provide sustainable solutions for electricity production to serve development plans and future projects.
