Libya’s Airports Authority reported today that new X-Ray/CT passenger luggage and hand luggage security inspection equipment were installed at Zintan Airport.
The state-of-the-art equipment was supplied by Smiths Detection (Germany).
The supply of these devices was based on a contract concluded by the Airports Authority in 2023 with Smiths Detection’s local distributor.
The Airports Authority says the installation of this equipment is to raise the level of security equipment and procedures at airports, and to meet international and local standards.
