India’s Tripoli Chargé d’affaires receives many messages from Indian companies about working and investing in Libya

‎India’s Tripoli Chargé d’affaires, Mohamed Alim, accompanied by two members of the Indian Embassy, visited Libya’s General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture at its official Tripoli headquarters yesterday.

The embassy delegation was met by the President of the General Union and several advisers and those interested in Libyan Indian affairs.‎

Indian companies to work and invest in Libya
The General Union of Chambers reported that the Indian Chargé expressed his country’s readiness to enhance economic cooperation with Libya, and the desire of Indian companies to work and invest in Libya.

Indian authorities have lifted all restrictions on Indian travel to Libya
He was reported as saying that he receives many correspondences from Indian companies about Libya and its private sector and that the Indian authorities have lifted all restrictions on Indian travel to Libya. At the end of his speech, the Chargé stressed that there are promising cooperation opportunities that can benefit both sides.‎

‎For his part, the President of the General Union, Mohamed Al-Raied, welcomed this visit and discussed with the Chargé d’affaires several aspects of investment in Libya and cooperation in the field of capacity building, vocational and vocational training and in the field of technology, as India is deemed a pioneer in these fields.‎

‎Arranging for the visit of an Indian economic delegation to Tripoli
Several other area of cooperation was also discussed, starting with the establishment of an Indian capacity training centre in Libya, arranging for the visit of an Indian economic delegation that includes a large number of important companies wishing to work in Libya, to coordinating communication, cooperation, consultation and exchange of economic data between the Indian embassy and the General Union of Chambers.‎
