Mohamed Al-Raied, Chairman of Libya’s General Union of Chambers of Commerce, received Onishi Yohei, the Japanese Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, and his accompanying delegation at the Historic Building in Misrata last Tuesday (4 August).
The meeting was attended by Shimura Izuru, Ambassador of Japan to Libya; the Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation office in Misrata; and the Head of the Civil Society Commission branch in Misrata.
This General Union of Chambers said the visit aims to strengthen existing bilateral relations between Libya and Japan, discuss prospects for joint economic cooperation, and explore new investment opportunities that contribute to supporting development and fostering partnership between the two friendly nations.
The meeting, the General Union of Chambers added, featured an exchange of views serving mutual interests and reflecting the depth of Libyan-Japanese relations, while emphasizing the importance of continued coordination and the establishment of effective partnerships between relevant institutions in both countries.
