The two-day Libyan Egyptian Economic Forum (13 to 14 October) was launched today at the headquarters of the National Economic and Social Development Board’s (NESDB) Tripoli headquarters.
The forum is organised by the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture and hosted by the NESDB.
The General Union of Chambers reported that an Egyptian economic delegation headed by Mohamed El-Bahi, Vice President of the Federation of Egyptian Industries, participated in the forum, in the presence of the Chargé d’affaires of the Egyptian Embassy in Libya, Tamer Hefny, and representatives of several leading Egyptian companies in several fields such as industry, construction, real estate investment and others.
After the official opening speeches, the opening session of the first day started with a dialogue session during which many topics were raised on aspects of cooperation and promising investment opportunities in Libya. Laws and procedures governing investment, and the opening of branches of Egyptian companies in Libya, and all matters related to labour and investment, were discussed.
On the second day of the forum, the field will be open for bilateral meetings for the private sector (B2B).
