The Benghazi Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture announced the opening of the LibyanEgyptian Industrial Trade Forum in Benghazi today scheduled to run from 15 to 18 October.
The event includes the participation of 35 Egyptian companies and a delegation from the Federation of Egyptian Industries in the specializations of construction and building, real estate investment, metal industries – wood and furniture industry, information technology and communications technology, financial consulting – refrigeration and air conditioning, advertising and publicity, hotel equipment, clothing and furnishings, building materials, engineering industries, medicines, and food industries.
Benghazi Chamber said the event aims to enhance economic integration and open horizons for cooperation in all fields commercial, industrial and service between the two countries. The meeting also dealt with the definition of investment privileges, transit trade, reconstruction and development work, the extent of security stability, and the economic, commercial and investment renaissance witnessed by the city of Benghazi, as well as introducing the competencies, purposes and services of the Egyptian company.
B2B meetings
Several Libyan businessmen and owners of companies held bilateral B2B meetings with their Egyptian counterparts to expand their activities and business and their contribution to restoring reconstruction and localisation of local industries.
Signing of an MoU
On the sidelines of the forum, a memorandum of understanding was signed to organize an annual exhibition in Benghazi under the name of ‘‘Made in Egypt’’ sponsored and supervised by the Benghazi Chamber, Commerce and Emaar Libya Holding Company and the Federation of Egyptian Industries.
