‎Tripoli based Libyan Minister of Transport, Mohamed Al-Shahoubi, announced the activation of the Libyan Italian Cooperation Agreement, on the sidelines of the opening of the Libyan Italian Economic Forum in Tripoli today. ‎‎

‎Al-Shahoubi explained that the Council of Ministers approved a contract with the Italian company Todini Construction (Todini Costruzioni Generali S.p.A.) to implement infrastructure projects in the road sector, which include the development of the 134 km Khoms-Azizia road, and the 160 km Azizia-Ras Ajdair road.‎

‎The Libyan government reported that during the forum, it is also scheduled that the acceptance letter for the offer submitted by the Italian company will be delivered, in preparation for starting preparations and completing the contracting procedures.‎

‎The government added that the move comes as part of efforts to sign the final contract for the Azizia Ras Ajdair Road Implementation Project, with the aim of enhancing infrastructure and developing road networks in cooperation with international partners.‎
