On the sidelines of the Libyan Italian Economic Forum in Tripoli yesterday, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Libyan Export Promotion Centre (LEPC), represented by its Director General, Mohamed Al-Deeb, and his Italian counterpart, President of the Italian Trade Agency (ITA/ICE), Matteo Zoppas.
The LEPC said the memorandum of understanding aims to establish a partnership with ITA through effective and long-term cooperation in the field of trade to enhance trade between Libya, Italy and the European Union in general. In addition, it aims to facilitate the access of Libyan products to European markets.
The two parties also work through this memorandum to exchange experiences and expertise, provide consultations, market studies and development in the field of training, as the LEPC will, in partnership with the ITA, organise training courses for exporters, in addition to organizing joint economic events with the aim of promoting Libyan products in various European markets.
