The National Oil Corporation (NOC) condemned this morning’s drone attack on its Brega Airport Road Fuel Depot.
It announced that it has raised the state of full readiness of all emergency teams at all sites, and the specialized teams have also started emptying fuel from the tanks as part of the precautionary measures followed.
It further called for the intensification of the efforts of all security and military authorities to assume their responsibilities and protect these vital sensitive sites.

’’The National Oil Corporation (NOC) condemned the attempt to target the fuel tanks at the Brega depot on the airport road this morning with a remotely operated drone, without any significant damage, praise be to God.
The corporation stresses that the attempt to target oil facilities with these sabotage operations is a dangerous indicator that calls for the intensification of the efforts of all security and military authorities to assume their responsibilities and protect these vital sensitive sites, which tamper with them poses a real danger to the lives of citizens and a drain on their wealth and capabilities.
The targeting of oil facilities anywhere in Libya in any way represents a direct threat to the supply system and basic services, as they play a pivotal role in providing fuel for power plants, energy production, health facilities, industrial and service sectors, as well as meeting citizens' daily needs for fuel.
The corporation calls on oil facilities and their workers to avoid any hostile acts, and to respect their safety and sanctity, in order to ensure the continuity of fuel supply and maintain energy security and the safety of citizens.
