Libya’s Ministry of Transport reports that an air transport agreement between Algeria and Libya was agreed during a signing ceremony yesterday at the headquarters of the Algerian National Civil Aviation Agency, along with the signing of a memorandum of understanding regarding arrangements for resumption of flights.
The Ministry said the memorandum will enter into force immediately upon its signing by the civil aviation authorities of both countries. Under this memorandum, each designated airline from each country can operate 14 passenger flights per week, in addition to cargo flights.
The Ministry said the resumption of flights between the two countries represents a significant addition to the Libyan air transport market, given the importance of the international flight network connected to Houari Boumediene International Airport, as well as the vital role of air transport in developing and activating economic activities between the two countries.
