Libya's Ministry of Industry and Minerals' Green Industry Centre announced today that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Rob Rockefeller Standard Carbon – Tunisia.

It said this comes as part of efforts to foster cooperation in green industry, sustainability, and carbon emission reduction.

The Green Industry Centre said the MoU aims to establish a framework for cooperation between the two parties regarding:

  • Carbon emission reduction

  • Development of carbon neutrality strategies

  • Provision of technical insights and consultancy

  • Training of national personnel in environmental auditing in accordance with international standards

  • Exchange of proposals on technical solutions and carbon management

  • Organization of awareness-raising seminars and conferences for the industrial sector

The agreement was signed on behalf of the Center by its Director General, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Al-Taher Al-Aib, and on behalf of Rob Rockefeller Standard Carbon – Tunisia by its President, Mr. Mohamed Lassad El-Kadimi.

The Green Industry Centre said the MoU underscores the importance of expanding technical and advisory cooperation and supporting the transition toward more sustainable industrial practices, thereby helping to align with international environmental standards and enhance national capabilities in the carbon sector.
