As part of evaluating the readiness of some of the sites targeted by the for the establishment of solar energy projects in various regions, the work team of the Renewable Energy Authority of Libya (REAoL) conducted a field visit to the proposed site allocated in Ghadames for the establishment of a solar power plant project last week.
REAoL revealed that the site is estimated at about 500 hectares and that the project is planned to have a capacity of up to 500 megawatts of solar energy connected to the public electricity grid.
