Belgasem Haftar, Director General of the Libyan Development and Reconstruction Fund, received a high-level Turkish delegation last Tuesday (9 June) that included Ambassador Ali Onaner, Director General for North and East Africa Affairs at the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ambassador Güven Bekçı, Ambassador of Turkey to Libya.
The two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation between Libya and Turkey in the fields of development and reconstruction, and to support the participation of Turkish companies in implementing strategic projects.
They also discussed opportunities to develop economic and trade partnerships in a way that serves development plans and strengthens the reconstruction process in various Libyan regions.
