At the 4th Libya Energy Summit 2026 (LEES), the Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Masoud Suleiman, confirmed that Libya has been able to achieve tangible achievements in oil and gas production despite the challenges, most notably price fluctuations in the world.

Production target of 1.6 and 2 million bpd
He pointed out that the corporation’s strategy aims to raise production to 1.6 million barrels per day as a first stage, and then to 2 million barrels in the medium term.

During his meeting with representatives of several international and local oil companies, on the sidelines of the LEES 2026, he indicated that the NOC is an independent professional institution that puts the interest of Libya above all considerations.

The three-day summit, organized under the theme “Achieving Energy Growth through Infrastructure and Investment”, focuses on investments in infrastructure aimed at increasing Libya’s energy production capacity and attracting international capital to invest in Libya.
