The Renewable Energy Authority of Libya (REAoL) reported last Wednesday (25 February) that it is continuing the implementation of repairing and installing solar energy systems across 25 nationwide public health centres to meet their electricity needs.
The initiative comes in line with Libya’s National Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Strategy, and within the framework of the GoGreen initiative led by REAoL, which focuses on enhancing the capabilities of public health centers, as stipulated by Circular No. (8444) issued by the Prime Ministry on 28 2025.
This circular urges all public entities and institutions, not just health sectors, funded by the public treasury to coordinate with REAoL and adopt renewable energy technologies to meet their electricity needs.
This will contribute to increasing energy efficiency, reducing emissions, and strengthening the national electricity grid.
In this context, REAoL said it looks forward to all public institutions and entities communicating and cooperating with it in supporting the implementation of this initiative, thereby contributing to the widespread adoption of renewable energy technologies and alleviating the burden on the public electricity grid.
