Flights with Qatar to resume in October

‎Flights between Libya and Qatar will resume in October, the Tripoli based Libyan government reported today.

‎The news emerged out of the meeting held by Tripoli based Libyan prime minister, Abdel Hamid Aldabaiba, with Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, in Qatar today.

‎During the meeting, where they exchanged views on regional developments and issues of common interest,‎ Aldabaiba praised the role played by Qatar in regional mediation, especially in supporting the Palestinian cause and the Gaza Strip, praising its efforts in alleviating human suffering and promoting diplomatic solutions.‎

‎The two sides also agreed to resume direct flights between Libya and Qatar from next October, within the framework of enhancing cooperation in the aviation sector and facilitating travel between the two countries.‎

‎The meeting also discussed developments in economic and investment cooperation, and follow-up to the implementation of joint strategic projects between the two countries, in order to strengthen bilateral relations and push towards a more effective economic partnership.‎
