The Minister of Industry and Minerals, Mohamed Abdelgader, along with the Undersecretary of the Ministry and the Director General of the National Industrial Development Authority, held a meeting with Faisal bin Dardaf, Director General of the National Housing and Real Estate Development Programme, to follow up on the implementation of Prime Minister Abdel Hamid Aldabaiba’s initiative to resolve the housing shortage.
The meeting discussed securing building materials for major housing projects, facilitating supply chains, and localizing industries related to the housing sector to reduce reliance on imports.
It was agreed to form a joint committee to monitor implementation, identify technical needs, and adopt quality standards for building materials to ensure the sustainability of housing projects.
