Prime Minister Abd Alhamid Aldabaiba received in his Tripoli office today the German Ambassador to Libya, Ralph Tarraf.
The meeting discussed the return of Lufthansa Airlines to Libya, where they discussed ways to resume direct flights between the two countries to enhance trade and tourism cooperation.
They also discussed the frozen Libyan assets and opportunities for cooperation in the alternative energy sector, where the two sides stressed the importance of promoting joint projects in this field.
For his part, the Libyan government reported, the ambassador expressed his country’s readiness to develop bilateral cooperation with Libya in various fields, noting the importance of strengthening relations between the two countries to serve common interests.
Aldabaiba expressed the readiness of his government to strengthen cooperation with Germany to achieve development in Libya.
Tweeting about the meeting on the German embassy’s X account, Ambassador Tarraf said ‘‘New motion in the Libyan political process was at the centre of my meeting with Prime Minister Aldabaiba. We also discussed German Libyan economic ties and ways to improve cooperation.’’
