The Hafter-family controlled National Development Agency (NDA) announced a package of what it called new strategic projects that enhance the process of development, reconstruction and construction.
The NDA said the development and reconstruction projects exceeded two hundred projects within what it called a national vision aimed at strengthening infrastructure, improving the level of services, and consolidating the pillars of security and stability.
The NDA said the strategic projects will constitute a qualitative addition to the process of construction and development across the country, foremost of which is the Khalifa Medical City project in Sirte, which is expected to be the largest integrated medical complex in Libya, in addition to the Sirte Central Oncology Hospital project, and the establishment of a similar oncology centre in the city of Sebha, and Bin Jawad Hospital For accidents and childbirth.
In the financial sector, the NDA announced the implementation of the new headquarters of the Central Bank of Libya in the city of Sirte, while sports projects included the Sirte International Equestrian Track project and the Jabal al-Akhdar International Stadium, as well as the Imam Malik Mosque project, which it said is expected to be one of the most prominent religious and civilizational edifices in the country.
The announced projects also included the implementation of the expansion of the water treatment plant in the city of Sirte to raise its operational capacity to thirty-five thousand cubic meters per day, in line with the accelerated urban expansion and enhance environmental and service sustainability, as well as the strategic Sirte Oil Depot project, which represents a pivotal step to enhance energy security in the central region, and ensure the stability of fuel supply to citizens.
The NDA said these projects reflect an extension of the development and reconstruction process taking place in various regions of the country and confirm the continuation of efforts aimed at building modern infrastructure, achieving balanced development, and enhancing national stability, thus consolidating Sirte's position as a leading model of development and urban renaissance, and enhancing its pivotal role in shaping Libya's promising future.
