Minister of Tourism and Traditional Industries, Nasr al-Din Milad al-Fazani, met with Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, Salem al-Alam, to discuss mechanisms for launching a joint 'Cultural and Artistic Tourism Caravan'.

The meeting, held at the Ministry of Tourism's Tripoli headquarters, aimed to strengthen cooperation between the two ministries and solidify their partnership in showcasing national identity and promoting Libyan heritage. The ministers discussed arrangements for the caravan, which is being organized and sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture.

It is scheduled to depart from the city of Zuwara towards the eastern region at the end of July, with the goal of fostering cultural exchange between cities and highlighting the country's rich archaeological sites.

The caravan will visit several cities and historical sites, featuring folk art troupes from Ghadames and Ghat, as well as a group of artists and singers, and a selection of intellectuals and artists. The programme includes a mobile book fair, theatrical and artistic performances, and various heritage and craft events at the targeted resorts and destinations, all designed to revitalize domestic tourism.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the two ministers stressed the importance of integrating joint efforts to ensure the success of this national initiative, which represents a model of institutional cooperation in consolidating the values ​​of belonging and communication between the various Libyan regions as one of the pillars of sustainable development.
