The U.S. Embassy in Libya reported today that the U.S. Air Force carried out joint aerial activity ‘‘from across the country’’ in Libya today.
The embassy said ‘‘A closer U.S.-Libya defence partnership will make both our nations stronger.” It said the joint aerial activity is ‘‘aimed at fostering east-west military integration and enhancing air defence and air traffic control capabilities.
This event represents another important step towards the goal of reunifying Libya’s military institutions and demonstrates the U.S. commitment to unity and stability in Libya.’’
