The Minister of State for Prime Ministerial and Cabinet Affairs, Mohamed Ben Ghalboun, received the new Ambassador of Germany to Libya, Arvid Enders, yesterday, in the presence of the Director of the European Affairs Department, Abubaker Al-Tawil.
The meeting addressed cooperation between Libya and Germany and ways to strengthen and develop it to serve mutual interests.
The two sides also discussed the importance of expediting the reopening of the German consular section in Tripoli and working towards establishing new direct air routes between Tripoli and Berlin and Frankfurt.
For his part, the German Ambassador expressed his gratitude for the support he has received since his arrival in Libya, emphasizing his commitment to further enhancing cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to continue consultations and coordination on issues of common interest, in order to strengthen the Libyan-German partnership.
