Tripoli based Libyan Prime Minister, Abdel Hamid Aldabaiba, welcomed the signing today of the UNSMIL-brokered agreement by the "4+4" Mini-Dialogue Committee.
''I welcome the signing of the agreement by the "4+4" Mini-Dialogue Committee, viewing it as a significant step that reinforces the path we have advocated from the outset—one based on concluding transitional phases and moving toward elections.
Our vision has been clear: the decision must rest with the Libyan people through elections that end the state of division and grant all institutions genuine legitimacy derived from the will of the citizens, free from any arrangements that merely perpetuate existing phases and bodies.
We hope this agreement serves as a practical step in the right direction, upholding the priority of elections and paving the way for a national milestone that places Libya on the path to stability and reconstruction''.
