‎The Libyan Export Promotion Centre (LEPC) reported today that it had, in cooperation with the Libyan Business Council (LBC), participated in B2B meetings between Libyan and Spanish agricultural companies. The meetings were ‎held today at the Tripoli headquarters of the LBC.

‎The LEPC said it had invited 30 companies in the agricultural sector registered in its official Exporters Register to hold B2B meetings with 10 Spanish counterparts.

100 B2B meetings held The LEPC said about 100 B2B meetings were held to review the services offered by the Spanish companies that can be used in the development of Libyan products, as well as cooperation and partnership between companies for the transfer of expertise in the agricultural field, especially the cultivation of olive trees.‎

A first step for cooperation The LEPC’s Director of the Markets and Promotion Department, Mohamed Al-Habashi, stressed that these meetings are the first step for cooperation in the agricultural field, as the LEPC looks forward to cooperation in other fields to work for the development of the economy in general and Libyan exports towards European markets in particular.‎

It will be recalled that a Spanish agricultural trade delegation is currently visiting Tripoli (2 to 6 February). The visit is organised in cooperation with the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade and the Commercial Section of the Spanish Embassy in Libya.

Besides B2B meetings, the Spanish delegation will be invited on field visits related to their interests.

This was the first Spanish trade delegation visit to Libya in over a decade.
