The Tripoli Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture hosted yesterday a meeting at its Tripoli headquarters for the visiting Spanish business delegation. The delegation is on a two-day visit between 19 and 20 June.
The meeting was chaired by Anwar Abu Sitta, Tripoli Chamber Chairman and the Deputy Ambassador of Spain to Libya, Alvaro Bordallo.
The Spanish business delegation represented the Oil and Gas, Food Industries, Environment and Renewable Energy, Architecture and Infrastructure and Commercial Banks sectors.
Tripoli Chamber Chairman Abu Sitta stressed the desire of his Chamber to strengthen trade relations with the private sector in Spain by organizing bilateral meetings that include business owners and companies from both countries. He also stressed the desire to establish a partnership with the aim of exchanging expertise and experiences and transferring knowledge in areas of common interest.
He recalled that the Chamber had organized visits to Spain in the past period, and the delegation held meetings with the Chamber of Commerce in Barcelona. It also participated in the meeting of the Technical Committee of the Association of Chambers of Commerce of the Mediterranean (ASCAME). During this, the Tripoli Chamber delegation had presented a project to organize an exhibition for Spanish industries in Tripoli, under the supervision of the Ministry of Economy and Trade and its affiliated General Authority for Exhibitions.
