The Tripoli Chamber of Commerce reported last Wednesday (22 July) that it participated in a meeting held at the headquarters of the General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences on Libya’s participation in the 22nd edition of the Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS), in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur.
The meeting aimed to follow up on the arrangements and procedures for organizing Libya’s participation.
Discussions focused on the organizational and technical aspects of Libya's participation, as well as mechanisms for preparing and outfitting the national pavilion to effectively showcase the capabilities of Libyan companies and products.
Participants discussed ways to boost the participation of Libyan private sector enterprises in this international event. Such participation aims to open new avenues for trade cooperation, showcase national products, and enhance their access to regional and international markets, particularly within the Halal products sector.
The Head of the General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences emphasized the importance of unifying efforts and strengthening coordination among relevant entities. This approach aims to ensure a distinguished representation for Libya at this international forum, reflect the capabilities of both the public and private sectors, and bolster the presence of national products in global markets.
The meeting was chaired by the Head of the General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences, Essam Al-Awl, and attended by the Chairman of the Tripoli Chamber of Commerce, Anwar Abu Sitta; the Director General of the Tripoli International Fair, Shukri Al-Latif; and the Director of Al-Waha Exhibition Organizing Company, Nader Bin Yaala.
