The dialogue session at the Libyan-Italian Business and Investment Forum discussed investment prospects and logistical integration, and their role in strengthening economic cooperation and developing partnerships between the two countries, with a focus on opportunities for collaboration in the maritime industries sector.

Participants in yesterday's session, held in Misrata Free Zone (MFZ), included: Ayman Al-Darwish, Director General of the Misrata Free Zone; Nicola Colicchi, President of the Libyan-Italian Chamber of Commerce; Mohamed Al-Raied, President of the General Union of Libyan Chambers of Commerce; and Enrico Della Gata, Vice President of the Italian company Fincantieri.

The session addressed the investment opportunities offered by MFZ and its role in supporting trade and developing logistical services.

It also explored opportunities to benefit from Italian expertise in the maritime industries, particularly as MFZ nears completion of the preparation, maintenance, and development of the dock lift and side-carrying platforms.

MFZ said this project is of strategic importance to the free zone, aligning with its future plans to localize maritime industry and maintenance activities and enhance its capacity to provide specialized services in this sector.
