Between Monday 19 and Tuesday 20 June, a trade mission from Spain will be visiting Tripoli to explore business opportunities as well as joint ventures with Libyan companies.
The mission will be headed by Ms. Alicia Varela, Director General for Trade and Investment of the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce. She will be accompanied by companies covering a wide range of sectors.
The mission will meet with various representatives from the Libyan private sector, including the Tripoli and Misrata Chambers of Commerce as well as the Misrata Free Zone and Members of the Alsahl Holding group.
An informal gathering at the residence of the Spanish Ambassador will provide for further opportunities for networking, leaving a full day on Tuesday for further business to business contacts.
New opportunities, consolidate Spanish reputation
The objective of the mission is to explore business opportunities in different sectors and help consolidate the reputation of Spain and its companies as reliable trade partners. This mission, the first in many years, also seeks to serve as an encouragement for more Spanish companies to invest in Libya and gradually increase exchanges to the benefit of both countries.
