The Medical Industrial City in Benghazi reported yesterday that work is underway on the planning phase of an intravenous solution factory with international specifications.

It said this project is prepared with high precision in accordance with the highest standards of quality and international accreditation (GMP), to be an advanced model in the manufacture of medical solutions within Libya.

During this phase, the focuses has been on:

- Designing production lines that are fully GMP compliant

- Developing engineering maps that ensure the highest levels of sterilization and safety

- Equipping infrastructure to accommodate future expansion

- Ensuring smooth and efficient operations

The Medical Industrial City said that although the project is still in the planning stage, the foundations laid reflect a real direction to build a factory capable of meeting the needs of the local market and supporting the country's pharmaceutical security.

The Medical Industrial City said that the medical manufacturing cluster’s establishment is an unprecedented step towards developing the health and industrial sectors in Libya through the launch of a fully integrated medical and industrial city.

‎It is expected to be the largest project in North Africa that combines medical and industrial services with international standards‎ and a quantum leap in the field of medical industries and health innovations in Libya.

The Medical Industrial City says the project will be a regional hub making Benghazi a regional hub for innovation, progress, smart investments and the medical industry that boost the economy and support self-sufficiency in the health sector. It will develop medical industries and devices locally and ensure higher quality at competitive prices.
