The Libyan-Spanish Economic Forum (23-24 April), organized by the Libyan General Union of Chambers of Commerce in conjunction with the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, commenced yesterday in Madrid.

The General Union of Chambers said the forum saw high-level participation from government officials and representatives from both the public and private sectors of Libya, reflecting efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation and develop joint economic relations.

The General Union said the forum is being held at a crucial time, as the Tripoli government seeks to expand its international partnerships and diversify its economy.
