The Benghazi Chamber of Commerce reported today that it participated in a workshop on the blue economy organised today by the (eastern based) Libyan Ministry of Investment at the headquarters of the (eastern based) Libyan Media Foundation.
The workshop was held under the title “Mechanisms to Promote Investment in the Blue Economy in Libya”.
The workshop dealt with several essential themes, focusing on the importance of the blue economy and its role in achieving sustainable development.
It also discussed the legislative challenges facing investment in the maritime sectors, and ways to develop the legal framework to ensure the promotion of investment, in addition to protecting the marine environment from any negative impacts.
