The Renewable Energy Committee of Libya’s state National Oil Corporation (NOC) organised at its Tripoli headquarters a workshop in cooperation with the German Technology Holding GmbH (GTG).

During the workshop, the NOC reported yesterday, a detailed presentation was made on the services provided by GTG in the fields of technology and technical investment, in the presence of several specialists and engineers from NOC departments and subsidiaries, as well as representatives of GTG.

GTG presented its main services
During the workshop, GTG showcased a range of its main services, such as: technical consulting, project development, technology transfer, and investment in modern technology. The company also explained how these services contribute to improving digital infrastructure and developing sustainable energy projects.

Introduction of renewable energy technologies in oil fields
Discussions focused on the introduction of renewable energy technologies in oil fields in various regions of Libya, with the aim of enhancing environmental sustainability and developing the oil sector in line with global developments in the field of energy. They also discussed ways of future cooperation between the NOC and GTG to implement these vital projects.

It is worth mentioning that the NOC recently signed a contract with GTG to establish a solar power plant in Ubari with a capacity of more than 600 MW.
