The National Oil Corporation (NOC) reported today that it had held an extensive virtual meeting with representatives from several prestigious US universities and a delegate from the US Embassy.
The NOC said the meeting aimed to explore ways to enhance trainee competence and ensure the highest quality standards in approved training programmes. Discussions also covered arrangements to facilitate US visa procedures for the targeted personnel prior to the issuance of final deployment decisions.
The meeting was attended by members of the committee tasked with coordinating cooperation with US universities, led by the NOC’s General Manager of Human Resources Development. Participants reviewed the academic components of the training programmes and mechanisms for technical skill development, as well as the operational steps required to streamline and organize travel and enrolment procedures for trainees in their academic programmes.
The NOC said the meeting aligns with its strategy to develop its workforce and improve operational and technical performance within the oil and gas sector by strengthening academic partnerships with top-tier global universities and educational institutions.
