Sirte Oil Company reported last Wednesday (8 April) the restart of seawater filters No. 1 and 2 at the desalination plant of its Petrochemical Complex, after years of shutdown.
The company said this comprehensive maintenance work is an important technical achievement that reflects the competence of Libyan cadres, the petrochemical maintenance teams, in cooperation with the manufacturing, maintenance, spraying and coating workshops of the Maintenance Department.
This achievement, it added, is an important step towards enhancing the readiness of the complex’s vital facilities, as it will directly contribute to raising the efficiency of the seawater desalination units, ensuring the provision of the necessary desalinated water and meeting the industrial complex’s water needs.
Preparation for the restart of the methanol plants
Sirte Oil added that these efforts also come within the framework of the ongoing preparations for the restart of methanol plants, which will support the stability of operational and production processes and enhance the continuity of work within the complex.
