A team of 15 medical staff and two cargo planes containing medicines and equipment sent from . . .[restrict]the United Arab Emirates arrived in Sebha today.
The medical equipment, supplies and medicines are to help local hospitals deal with those injured during the recent tribal clashes in Sebha. The Ministry of Health said today that the fighting has left at least 31 dead and 65 wounded. Four of the injured remain in intensive care. The planes landed at Tmanhunt Air Base in the south of Libya today.
The 15 medical staff, who will help treat those injured in the fighting, also arrived in Sebha today.
Prime minister Ali Zeidan, speaking at today’s press conference, said that this was an example of the support the UAE continued to offer Libya during difficult times.
He added that the government was unable to overcome problems now faced by Libya without support from outside the country. [/restrict]
