On the occasion of World Water Week (23 to 27 August), UNICEF Libya reported today that, across southwest and southeast Libya, it has installed 18 solar-powered water pumping systems in Sebha, Traghin, Tajrehi and Kufra.

UNICEF said the systems are helping improve access to water for more than 55,000 people, including over 16,000 children, while supporting more sustainable and climate-resilient water services.
