Libya’s Food and Drug Control Centre reported last Monday (31 August) that its Sebha Office seized and destroyed a quantity of onions it deemed unfit for human consumption due to improper transport and storage.
It reported that its inspectors deemed the Egyptian-origin onions unfit for consumption due to signs of spoilage following an inspection at a checkpoint in Al-Bawanis that led to the shipment's seizure and subsequent destruction.
