‘‘U.S. experts’’ visit Sirte’s single pivot agricultural irrigation circles – 87 irrigation circles will be restarted in 2025

The eastern based and Hafter family controlled National Development Agency (NDA) signed what it referred to as two ‘‘strategic agreements’’ with UAE’s Global Builders at the NDA’s Sirte headquarters last Tuesday 28 January.

The agreements, the NDA reports, come within the framework of the implementation of its 2030 Vision ‎launched to enhance infrastructure and support economic growth.

The strategic agreement includes the project to construct the second phase of Sirte’s southern international road to Sokna and Sebha (SSS), and the project of maintenance and development of the International Conference and Exhibition Complex in Sirte.‎

‎These projects, the NDA says, aim to keep pace with international development and promote international transit trade, ‎‎as the city of Sirte is a pivotal pillar of these activities. The agreements come within the framework of the development partnership between Libya and the United Arab Emirates, which contributes to achieving the development goals of the 2030 Agenda.‎
