The Tripoli based Ministry of Health announced yesterday that after a 10-year hiatus, the CT scan service at Tripoli Children’s Teaching Hospital has resumed operations. This comes following the completion of maintenance, upgrades, and the installation of necessary technical equipment.
The service had been suspended since 2016, and its reactivation will enhance accurate diagnostic capabilities and improve the quality of medical services provided to children, the Ministry added.
The service’s reactivation, it explained, is part of the Ministry’s plan to restore essential services in hospitals and health facilities across the country.
This initiative falls under the “100-Day Strategy” launched by the Acting Minister of Health, Dr. Mohamed Al-Ghouj, with the support of Prime Minister Abd Alhamid Aldabaiba. The strategy aims to improve the performance and operational readiness of Libya’s health sector.
