The Tripoli Ministry of Health announced yesterday that the National Centre for Cardiac Treatment and Surgery in Tajoura, Tripoli, announced the launch of the "Nabd 2" (Pulse 2) campaign.
It said this comes as part of the national plan to localise medical treatment within the country and alleviate the treatment burden on citizens and in line with the efforts of the Tripoli based Libyan government’s to upgrade national health services.
The Ministry said this campaign focuses on performing diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterization procedures for adults, commence 6 September.
The campaign aims to accelerate patient access to specialized medical services, reduce waiting lists, and provide advanced treatment services domestically, delivered by specialized national medical teams.
"Nabd 2" offers early screening and medical assessment for patients suspected of requiring cardiac catheterization through a dedicated specialized clinic within the centre. It also provides diagnostic and therapeutic catheterization procedures for patients whose conditions require them, based on medical evaluation.
The Ministry said, following the success of the "Nabd 1" campaign—which achieved its primary goal of eliminating the waiting list—"Nabd 2" continues this trajectory. It expands access to specialized services and offers renewed hope to heart patients, enabling them to receive necessary care within the country at the highest standards of quality and healthcare.
